Joining this highly esteemed network of EPPIC Global community has been one the best volunteering experience of my life, I have been part of this biotech community for over 6yrs both contributing to its growth and enriching myself with a wealth of knowledge and experiences from a highly talented and committed Executive and Board, through mentorship and various networking opportunities provided during quarterly and annual conferences every year.
EPPIC is consistently raising the bar in the biotech community, by hosting various thought provoking discussions on matters of importance and current trends in the Lifesciences sector that has a broader impact to the global biotech community.
EPPIC has been great organization for me as I was transitioning from pure Tech to Health tech During the formation years of BioImagene, a company that pioneered The field of Digital Pathology And was acquired by Roche . EPPIC provides me with Rich new work, prospective BOD members, Scientific Advisors and team members.
I am the CTO and founding member of a startup, “Evanostics,” that develops a disruptive, cost-effective, saliva-based diagnostic technology. I benefited from EPPIC through the mentorship I received from Dr. Mahendra Shah, an EPPIC Charter Member and a serial entrepreneur, and from Pradeep Fernandes, an EPPIC Board member and also a serial entrepreneur. After the IPO of Corium, where I led the R&D and Engineering programs, as I navigated my transition out, both my mentors carved out several hours of their valuable time to work with me to think through my choices. Their continued guidance through my bumpy ride in the next small startup that I joined after Corium was also invaluable.
At EPPIC I initially worked as an Executive Committee member and later led the organization as its President achieving new milestones, bringing in several changes, and onboarding new team members.
